With mild winters and significant annual rainfall, the western forests of Montana, Oregon and Washington are one of the best places in the world to grow timber. In these areas, we manage 2.5 million acres of forestland on a sustainable basis to supply raw materials to our manufacturing facilities, as well as a diverse set of customers both domestically and abroad.

Although we grow some western species like cedar and hemlock, Douglas fir is the primary species grown in the Pacific Northwest. From seedlings to harvest-age timber, more than 100 years of experience has led to some of the highest quality Douglas fir available today.

We certify 100% of our timberlands and wood produts facilities to sustainable forestry initiative standards
On average we plant 130-150 million trees each year.

The vast majority of our log sales are on a delivered basis to the customer, we also offer standing timber sales occasionally. Customers count on our experience, from high-quality products to our cost effective infrastructure, to provide reliable delivery of products. We also purchase logs to supply our western converting facilities.
